Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Getting Started with Superhero Wallet

Superhero Wallet is a non-custodial open-source wallet that allows users to manage crypto assets securely across multiple blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and æternity. Users maintain full control over their private keys and can interact with decentralized applications (dApps) and the Web3 ecosystem.

You can download Superhero Wallet as a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox, or as a mobile app for Android and iOS. Simply visit the Superhero Wallet website and choose the version that suits your device.

Superhero Wallet is available on desktop browsers (Chrome and Firefox extensions), as well as Android and iOS mobile devices. A web version is also accessible on desktop and mobile browsers.

After installing the wallet, open the Superhero Wallet extension or app. Select “Create New Wallet,” and follow the prompts to set up a new wallet. Be sure to securely back up your seed phrase during this process.

Open Superhero Wallet, select “Import Wallet,” and enter your seed phrase. This will restore your existing wallet, giving you access to previously stored assets.

When creating or importing a wallet, you’ll receive a seed phrase. Write this down and store it securely. The seed phrase is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access.

The Dashboard is your main overview in Superhero Wallet. It shows your total crypto balance and how many tokens each account owns, individual account balances, quick action buttons (send, receive), and your recent transactions.

Your total balance is displayed at the top of the Dashboard, reflecting the combined value of assets across all connected blockchains.

Scroll left or right on the active account card to view and switch between different accounts (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, æternity). Each account displays its token balance and address.

Multisignature (multisig) vaults require multiple accounts to approve transactions, offering enhanced security and control. You can toggle to view your multisig vaults on the Dashboard, currently available only on the æternity blockchain.

Use the “Send” button to transfer assets from your wallet to another address. The “Receive” button provides your wallet address and QR code to receive funds.

Click on any account card on the Dashboard to access the account overview page. Here, you’ll find account balance, current fiat value, account address, and option to execute available actions like sending and receiving funds.

The Assets tab lists all tokens stored in your account. Each token shows the quantity owned and, for assets with fiat value, the equivalent conversion.

The Transactions tab displays all past transactions for your selected account, including details like amount, transaction type, and time.

The AENS is a naming system on the æternity blockchain that allows users to register human-readable names for their wallet addresses, making interactions simpler.

You can view a shortened version of your wallet address on the account overview page. Click the copy icon next to the address to easily share it with others.

Yes, Superhero Wallet is non-custodial, meaning only you have control over your private keys and assets. No third party, including Superhero, has access to your funds.

Private keys are encrypted and stored securely on your device. User can display private keys and back them up. The Seed phrase is a wallet key that can be used to retrieve all your accounts (generated through seed phrase) with their private keys. Also we have optional password that is used for seed phrase encryption for web applications. For mobile apps seed phrase is stored in secure storage and have biometric login.

Unfortunately, without your seed phrase, you cannot recover your wallet. We recommend securely backing it up when setting up the wallet.

Superhero Wallet supports AIRGAP, an offline signing method, to enhance security. Download the AIRGAP app and link it to Superhero Wallet for secure, offline transactions.

Your seed phrase is provided during wallet setup and also in settings. Store this phrase securely, as it’s the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access.

Currently we support DApps integration for ETH (WalletConnect, also EVM about to be released) and AE blockchains.

Select the WalletConnect option in Superhero Wallet and scan the dApp’s QR code. This enables connection to Ethereum dApps for a seamless Web3 experience.

Open the Superhero Wallet mobile app and navigate to the In-App Browser section. Input the dApp URL, and connect directly to interact without leaving the app.

In Wallet Settings, access the “Gift Cards” feature (currently available for æternity accounts only). Enter the amount you want to load onto the gift card, generate it, and share the unique invite link.

In the gift card section, enter the amount, generate a gift card, and share the invite link with new users. They can use it to redeem the gift card balance.

At present, you can specify the amount, but customization features are limited to this function.

If you forget your password, the only way to access your wallet is by resetting it and using your seed phrase to restore your accounts. Ensure you’ve backed up your seed phrase and address book before resetting.

In Settings, select the “Reset Wallet” option. Note that this action will delete all local wallet data, so back up your seed phrase and address book beforehand.

Delays can happen when the blockchain is congested. Transactions might not display immediately on the wallet but will appear once they’re processed and indexed.

Ensure that you’re using the latest version of Superhero Wallet. We are providing EVM Connectivity and Wallet Connect for ETH dapps and AE uses its own method for dapps integration.

Try to upgrade the wallet to latest version, ensuring that you have internet connectivity.

Go to Settings, where you’ll see an option to toggle between mainnet, testnet, and custom networks. Select the network based on your needs.

You can create and manage multiple accounts within the same wallet by scrolling through the active account cards on the Dashboard.

Yes, you can export saved addresses in JSON format, which can then be imported into another Superhero Wallet.

Access the Settings menu to adjust notifications, customize profile preferences, and configure other wallet options.
